Recipe: High Protein Breakfast Bowl

Good morning dear Yogilators!

Many studies have shown that starting the day with a high protein meal aids weight-loss, prevents food cravings and unhealthy choices, and keeps you full and energized longer than breakfasts high in carbohydrates. Here is one of my favorite healthy, quick-and-easy high protein muesli bowls:

MORINGA-YOGURT-CINNAMON MUESLI

Ingredients:

  • 1 teaspoon Moringa powder (e.g. Moringa by “Govinda”)
  • 200 grams non-flavored yogurt (1.5% fat) or low fat “Quark”
  • 1/4 cup muesli (could include: oats, flax seeds, nuts, sesame, dried fruit like goji berries, whole wheat flakes, quinoa) (e.g. muesli by “mymuesli“)
  • 1 small (semi-green) banana
  • 1/2 cup fresh berries (strawberries, mulberries, blueberries, blackberries…)
  • sprinkles of cinnamon and turmeric
  • 1/2 teaspoon Chia seeds
  • 1/2 of a teaspoon honey (optional)

Preparation:

1. Mix the yogurt/Quark with the Moringa powder in a bowl together
2. Add the cinnamon, turmeric
3. Cut the banana in small pieces and add it together with the muesli and fresh fruit to the yogurt
