Get fit and healthy in 2015! Current special sales in German stores!

Hello my dear Yogilators!

The new year is only 6 days old and many brands, studios, and so called “discounter stores” are already featuring workout tools, clothes, and accessories with special sales these days in Germany.

Many would maybe call it a clever marketing idea because, according to surveys (GERMANY, USA), every 3rd person wants to loose weight or get fit and healthy at the beginning of a new year. However, I’d actually also see it as support and motivation to get started with our fitness plans :)

I wrote about the “Psychology of Motivation and Making a Change” here on my website before, where I talk about intrinsic and extrinsic motivation as well as an article on how our fitness clothes influence our workout behavior. You can find it HERE.

And now here are the current deals:

For example, the German discounter “LIDL” is featuring SPORT TOTAL this week, and I already got myself a “new toy” which I will be trying out and write about here soon. It’s a “Swing Stick,” a VERY effective and muscle building workout tool that is actually fun to use. Plus, it will shape your arms, shoulders, and back, to get you ready for the spring and summer :) I’m super excited! I tried it the first time during my vacation in Spain last year. SO great!

Also, the German chain “Tchibo” offers all about WORKOUT & YOGA and I already have the “Fitness Mat” and the “Yoga pants” on my shopping list. I’ll keep you posted about this too.

Have you encountered any other specials in Germany as well, or perhaps in your country and you’d like to share it? I’d be happy to hear your comments!

Stay yogilated for my updates! :)

Have a wonderful week!

UPDATE:

I tried the swing stick and I’m happy with it! My arms are a little sore but it feels GREAT! I can recommend it.

I did not end up buying the fitness mat or yoga pants from Tchibo. Although I liked the cut and style of the pants/leggins, I decided not to keep them because they were a little too see-through.

The “fintess mat” looked good, however, it lacked the grip I was looking for. I don’t think i would’ve been able to do certain Pilates poses on it with sufficient support.

Please remember that this is only my personal impression and opinion. It can always be different from your own :) I’d be happy to hear about yours as well!
